SP has met and walked the village with David Reid following our complaint regarding street cleaning.
Dog fouling was highlighted, as was the problem of glass which had been lying uncleaned for over a month.
Mr. Reid appreciated what he was being told and said that hopefully there will be an improvement in the next two weeks. Since this meeting there has been an improvement.
Areas identified as requiring attention for a village clean-up were:
• the pathway at the bottom of Brook Street towards Hazel Avenue via the farm;
• the Public Park;
• the Nova Scotia Gardens and the new path on the old railway line.
The coffee machine is now in place in the Dumyat Centre and will be funded for one month by the Council as a trial period, after which it will be reviewed.
JC spoke to Martin Jones regarding the Singing Initiative for the Diamond Jubilee Garden Party.
