Youth issues
At present there does not appear to be any issue with youths causing bother. Only minor call was regarding youths on top of the Burnside Inn. When patrolling we will give this extra attention.
Other issues
Our PACT* Priorities for Alva and Menstrie in January/February are::
- Detect speeding offences on the A91 near to the industrial estate and approach road to Alva Academy on the east side of Alva between 0800 hours and 1530 hours Monday to Friday, by carrying out high visibility speed checks.
- Reduce the number of calls regarding anti-social behaviour in the areas of Dalmore Drive, The Nebit, Craighorn Road and St Serfs Walk, Alva on Friday and Saturday evenings between 5pm and 11pm.
Both are related to Alva and no PACT priorities are thought to be necessary for Menstrie at this time.

Notes on crime
Although it was a busy festive period for David and me, it is very pleasing that there appeared to be no apparent issues within the village. All incidents were isolated, not related and are minor in nature.
