Seen from the green slopes of Dumyat and over the dark tops of Menstrie Wood
lies Menstrie village. 
The light red and tan-coloured roofs of the newer houses at the right and centre 
of the picture contrast with the duller grey and brown roofs of the older buildings.
Further away are the green and brown fields of the surrounding farms.
In the far distance are Her Majesty's Prison Glenochil, the township of Tullibody 
and the winding River Forth stretching to the horizon.
