Menstrie Scout Group

|d| All three Group sections, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are now in full swing for the new session with very active and very noisy well attended regular weekly meetings. Fun, challenge and adventure are the main themes for the weekly programmes and these were emphasised in recent weeks with the Beavers enjoying a walk in the dark to the top of Craigomus and the Scouts taking part in a night hike along the cart track to Jerah, across the Menstrie Burn at the Loss Burn reservoir and returning to the Scout HQ by the cart track, but not before taking a detour to the top of Dumyat, arriving there at midnight to wonder at the spectacular views across the Devon and Forth valleys on what was a splendid, clear moonlit and starry night.

May we thank everyone, parents, leaders, committee members and members of the community who came along to support our recent Autumn Market where the excellent sum of £850.00 was raised for Group Funds on the night.

And again our thanks to all those who supported our Webb Ivory Christmas goods campaign.
