The Tennis season has come to and end and the Club had a very successful first year. Things kicked off with our Club Launch Event in April, which was a huge success thanks to the efforts of Club President Jim Hay, Coach Laurent Marmocchi, Clackmannanshire Council and of course Judy Murray.
Our junior, youth and adult coaching programmes have been very well attended and all involved have shown significant improvement in their game. Who knows, we may even have a future Wimbledon Champion in our midst!
The Gents Central Tennis League Team had an encouraging first season back in Competitive tennis, winning 3 out of 7 matches. Thanks to all who took part and we look orward to improving on our performance in 2012.
Social Tennis on Tuesdays and Fridays has proven very popular and is ideal if you want to "come and have a go" at tennis. Social Tennis is set to continue on Tuesday evenings up at the Gannochy Centre, Stirling University on a pay and play basis.
• August 2011
Menstrie Tennis Club is now offering mid-season membership and family memberships. Children (Saturday and Wednesday) and youth/adult coaching (Friday) sessions are also still running and places are available.

We have also joined the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and entered the Central Tennis men's league this season, based at Lornshill Academy on Thursdays. We are also on the lookout for fresh new talent for these matches!
You don't even need to know how to hold a racket to join in, we welcome new members whatever their age or experience! It is also a fun way to improve your fitness and mobility!

- Are you interested in meeting new friends and keeping fit?
- Would you or your children like to learn a new sport?
- Would you like to see the village have more recreational facilities?
Menstrie Tennis Club ran successfully in the village for many years as a family friendly organisation, and we are now looking for volunteers interested in seeing the club restored to its former glory!
Don't know how to play tennis? Don't worry! Regardless of your ability we would be delighted to have you on board and one of our aims is to provide regular lessons for children and adults alike. Ultimately we wish to see the old tennis courts on the 'Kerry' site redeveloped, but village support is needed to gain funding. In the meantime, we hope to use the Dumyat Centre for short tennis and children's lessons and Stirling University courts for adults.
For further information please contact Caroline at the email address above.
We need to work together for better community facilities, so get involved and show your support!
